Early Membership Special

A fresh bright white blanket of snow kicks off the month of February. The longest winter month of January is now in the books, and we can once again begin to look forward to sunset after 5:00 pm.

This time of the year, I am always reminded how much my taste buds miss the summer eating that we are fortunate to have. Fresh baby cucumbers to munch on with ranch, tasty sauteed snap peas in a stir fry, lightly cooked green beans with a touch of melted butter, a kohlrabi sliced up and sprinkled with salt to crunch on, and juicy cherry tomatoes to eat like candy.

With 2017 marking our 7th season offering CSA membership, I'm thankful for everyone who joins our program, and who can make good use of all the fresh vegetables that mother earth provides for us.

For anyone interested in signing up for this upcoming CSA season, we are taking sign ups right now. As a bonus for those who sign up early, we are offering a new Early Membership Special that includes free canning produce. I appreciate those who join and pay early, and it just makes sense to give you a bonus back for your commitment to the CSA.

Eat Fresh Vegetables

Happy New Year from Taste the Color CSA. With the year just 2 weeks old, the excitement of new things in a new year, has seemingly already begun to lose its shine as we go through our day to day activities. However, spring is one thing that never loses its shine in my sight. I always look forward to spring and the feeling of new things to begin awakening and growing. 2017 marks our 7th season offering CSA membership, and once again there will be many new things that we will try this year. New vegetable varieties, new planting techniques, new weeding strategies, and new goals to grow more vegetables so that we can eat more vegetables.

Also new this year, is that we are offering an Early Membership Special. Having early membership sign ups gives us a better idea of how many seeds to order and plan for, so that we can offer our members the best possible vegetables during the season.

With this, we have kicked off the new year and are now accepting memberships for the 2017 season.
